I played baseball and shot competition rifle up to my junior year of high school until I found out my school had an ultimate team. I quit baseball my senior year and took up ultimate. That was definitely one of the best decisions I have ever made. I learned quickly that there was so much to the actual game and that made me even more interested. That year we qualified for PHUL State Championships and that was one of my best memories. At this point in time, I knew I was going to Pitt and Steven Grassel, who was coaching our high school team, told me to try out for Pitt’s team because he was transferring to main and was planning on playing for Pitt too. So that is how I came to be a part of En Sabah Nur. An early season quad contusion landed me on the DL for about a month and a spot on En Sabah Nur B. This injury turned out to be a blessing as I have found a team that wants to win as bad as I do and will stop at nothing to do it; not to mention, the friendships I have come to gain as a part in this. I think with enough hard work we will definitely achieve all the goals we have set for ourselves this year and I am thankful to have all of you guys to try and achieve it with.
